I forgotten how long it was. >> Anyways, it's one of several mechas from a story he came up with called Fimbulvetr, essentially set in an era equivalent to WW2, only with mechas added (at least that's what I recalled). Technical and Historical Notes:
The first Ritterpanzer mass produced in large quantities, the Siegfried is the main unit of choice for the Jotuneheim Reich, whose soldiers value it for its reliability and durability. Although outperformed by newer and more advanced Ritters, the Siegfried continues to be produced in large numbers, even years after the Northern Lights devastated the continent of Midgard (and perhaps the world), to fill Prince Dietrich von Nibelung's need for a great army to reconquer and restabilize the continent. As with all Ritters, the Siegfried was designed to be operable in any given environment, and thus possesses more durable armor than its predecessors, as well as extra flexible joints and mechanics so that mobility isn't compromised. Its main armaments are torso mounted 20mm machineguns that have enough punch behind them to kill anything from people to other Ritters, as well as combat knives and hand grenades for back up weapons. Although basic in terms of mounted weaponry, it is capable of carrying additional weapons (again as with all Ritters) such as assault rifles, sniper rifles, combat shotguns, a smoothbore cannon and various types of rocket launchers. In the hands of a skilled pilot, the Siegfried is an especially deadly opponent, and many Ritter aces gained their first kills with this machine.

What kept me from finishing this up sooner was partially real life, and partially because the machine looked too much like a Zaku. :P Well, still ended up crossbreeding several mechas into the design, but in the end, I finalized on a design that essentially came up as plain, ugly, and fodder. :P Feels like I forgotten how to draw here. WZA, I took some liberties in your description, so I hope you still like it.

Note that the sketch is drawn based on the old stats I was given. So, where it indicates three grenades on its hip rack, it was initially only two of them. Otherwise a small detail which I won't change on this sketch; you can pretend the grenade is placed in an area not so visible from that angle, even. :P
